The only two reasons to read a book are for enjoyment and education. If it serves neither purpose, there are other books I could be reading. I will put down a book if it gets to the stage where I think it isn't going to get better. It doesn't necessarily need to be a "bad" book, I don't like to think of a book as bad. It's just one that does not appeal to my interests. The same goes with movies or any other media I consume.
How bad does a book have to be for you to stop reading, or do you always plow through no matter what? What are some examples of books you stopped reading, or forced yourself to keep reading until the end? What made these books so horrible?
